Description
Rest Harrow is a cottage attached to a house on the left side, dating from the late 17th century. It features painted Flemish bond brick and a thatched roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has an L-plan layout and is two stories high with a two-window front. The central door has been blocked and replaced with a two-light casement window, while there are two-light wooden casements on either side and a single casement window to the right. On the first floor, there are two two-light wooden casements. The projecting wing to the right has a windowless gable facing the road, and the left return has one casement window on the ground floor. The right return serves as the entrance front, which is also two stories high and has a two-window arrangement. It features a central half-glazed door with a casement window to the left that has a segmental head. The first floor includes two casement windows. Inside, the cottage has chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops and two large fireplaces with timber lintels, one of which is blocked in the southeast room.
