Description
7 The Green is a pair of estate cottages built by the Wodehouse family, dated 1866, featuring the Wodehouse crest and motto at the bases of the chimneys. There is a later side extension that matches the original style. The cottages are constructed from colour-washed brick and have a thatched roof. They are single storey with an attic, featuring four ground floor and two attic three-light cast iron casement windows with diamond panes. There are two doors with gabled open porches, gabled dormers with decorative barge boards, and the main gables also have decorative barge boards. The building includes two axial stacks and one gable-end stack with diagonally set chimneys.
