Description
Green Farmhouse is a Gothic Revival farmhouse built in the mid-19th century. It features red brick with some blue brick and has plain tiled roofs. The building is designed in a T shape with a service wing at the rear and stands two storeys tall, highlighted by a full-height central porch. The front doorway has a 4-centred arch, and above it is a 3-light casement window with a cambered head, topped by a 2-centred polychrome relieving arch that displays the Wodehouse family crest. The ground floor includes two 4-light windows, one 6-light window, and one 2-light window, all with arched mullions and rectangular hood-moulds. Above, there are two projecting half-dormers supported by moulded brick corbelling, featuring tile-hung gables. The design includes lozenge and cross patterns made from blue brick headers, along with alternating circular and octagonal gable-end chimneys, decorative ridge tiles, and barge boards.
