Description

The barn at Hall Farm, dating from around 1800, features attached covered cattle shelters from the mid-19th century. Constructed from brick and topped with pantiles, the barn has eight bays and is divided internally into three sections on the north side and five sections on the south side. There is a continuous outshut to the north supported by square brick piers, which lead to cartsheds for the first three sections. The internal north wall of the barn has cart arches, and the sixth section includes a large doorway. The roof is a three-tier butt purlin design with two collars. To the south, there are four continuous attached ranges with transverse coping tiles along the ridges. The gable ends feature wide semi-circular archways leading to the external yard, with a doorway on the far right and a blocked doorway on the far left.
