Description
The barn and attached cowhouse at Hall Farm date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature plain tile half-hipped roofs in an L-shape. The barn is two storeys high, while the cowhouse is single storey. The barn has an off-centre cart archway with a broad basket arch and a stepped surround. Above this, there is a pigeon loft with a roof that is raised above the main roof. The east elevation of the barn includes five doorways at ground level, each with basket arches and stepped surrounds, along with stable-type doors, three square window openings, and external stairs leading to a similar upper doorway. There is also one upper window opening to the left and a row of diamond pattern breathers on the upper floor. The cowhouse features an irregular arrangement of doorways with basket arches and stepped surrounds, as well as square window openings. This building is listed for its group value.
