Description
This is a late 18th century and early 19th century farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring a brick ridge stack and a brick gable stack with dentilled eaves. The building is two storeys high plus garrets; the southern part dates to the late 18th century, with an extension to the north added in the early 19th century. The east elevation has four bays of unequal width. The left-hand section has a central doorway with a segmental arch and a plank door. To the left of the door is a 3-light wooden casement window under a segmental arch. A similar window is located above, and to the right is a 2-light window, with a corresponding 3-light window above. Two iron S ties are visible above the windows. Two bays, set forward toward the right, feature a segmental arched doorway above which is a 3-light window. Smaller 20th century windows are also present. A lean-to addition is attached to the north side of the building. The rear elevation is irregular, with a section that projects to the right and contains a plain 18th century staircase.
