Description
Oaklands is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a plain tile hipped roof with stacks at the rear. The building has a moulded ashlar cornice and a parapet above. It stands two storeys high, with the south elevation consisting of three broad bays and a lower bay set back to the east. The central doorway is framed by a moulded ashlar doorcase with an open pediment, and it has a panelled door with a traceried fanlight above. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows with wedge lintels and double keystones. Above, there are three smaller windows that are similar in style, with continuous sills that create a stone band. To the right, there is a lower 19th-century bay that has a glazing bar sash window under a wedge lintel on each floor.
