Description
Dunston Manor is a house dating from around 1710, constructed of brick with pantile roofs and featuring a double pile plan. The east front has two storeys and a dormer attic, arranged in five bays. The central entrance consists of a plank door set in a timber case, topped by a diamond-shaped overlight and sheltered by a hood supported on scrolled consoles. There are narrow sash windows on either side of the door, along with two additional sashes on both sides, all featuring glazing bars and flush frames beneath segmental arches. A moulded platband runs along the first floor, which has five 18th-century casements set on concrete sills. The eaves cornice is double dentil, and the gabled roof includes three gabled dormers with casement windows.
The north and south gables are shaped and have platbands at the attic level. The rear range is also a double pile structure with two storeys and an attic, featuring similarly shaped gables. The west front is obscured by an outshut. Each gable is illuminated by two 20th-century ground floor casements, two original two-light cross casements on the first floor, and a small 18th-century attic casement. A platband runs along the eaves line, and the roof is gabled with two large stacks in the valley.
