Description
The Rummer Inn is an inn that has been converted into a domestic building, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of brick, which has been whitewashed on the facade, and features pantile roofs. The building has a T-shaped plan, with the main block consisting of two storeys and a dormer attic, arranged in four bays.
To the left of the center, there is a half-glazed 19th-century door, flanked by two sash windows with glazing bars; one of these is set under a segmental arch, and to the right, there is a half-glazed French window. A platband runs along the first floor, and there are remnants of a blocked cross casement window on the first floor, although this area now has two 20th-century sash windows. The gabled roof includes one 20th-century gabled dormer, while the east gable is shaped and features an internal stack.
A cross wing extends to the south, ending in a shaped gable, and this section also has two storeys arranged in four bays. The building includes details from the 19th and 20th centuries, along with a two-storey 20th-century extension on the east side of the cross wing.
