Description
76 Pottergate is a former hospital, now a house, dating to the late 18th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries and rear additions. The building is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. It has two storeys plus a semi-basement. The front elevation features two blind windows and two widely spaced first-floor windows. A simple surround frames the door located at the extreme right. Three ground-floor sash windows with glazing bars and segmental arches are present, and the first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars and flat arches. A fascia cornice runs along the top of the building. The east gable is a Dutch gable with blue-brick diapering and an oval plaque.
