Description

No. 57A on Colegate is a house dating from 1660, as noted on the window pediment, with a 20th-century renovation. The building features a rendered ground floor and a rendered timber-frame first floor. It has two storeys and is jettied at the first floor, consisting of two bays. There is a door on the left side that has four-centre plain spandrels, which was part of a former yard entry. The ground floor includes one 20th-century five-light window and one 20th-century two-light window, both with flanking pilasters. At the first floor, there are pedimented three-light casement windows. The roof has two dormer gables, each with casement windows and 20th-century bargeboards.
