Description

These are two houses located in St. Miles Alley. They date to the late 16th century and were renovated in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of flint and brick, with the ground floor of number 1A rendered. The first floor of number 1A has a timber-frame structure which is also rendered. The building is two stories high, with a jettied first floor. There are three widely spaced windows on the first floor. Modern doors are set within frames on the extreme left and right sides. The ground floor has three modern casement windows. The first floor has two pairs of casement windows, and one sash window. A dormer gable, featuring a sash window and bargeboards, is located above number 1A. The building has a box cornice.
