Description
16 Magdalen Street is a building that was originally constructed in the early 17th century but was refaced in the 19th century. It is now used as a shop. The first floor is made of painted brick, and the roof is covered with pantiles. The building has two storeys and features three windows on the first floor. The shopfront, which is from the 20th century, has an off-centre door. The first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars and have rubbed brick flat arches above them. There is a paired modillion cornice and two dormers on the roof. Inside, the ground-floor ceiling has H-plan chamfered beams.
