Description
32 Elm Hill is a 17th-century building with some features believed to date back to the 15th century, now functioning as a shop. It has a timber frame that is rendered, with painted brick on the right corner and the upper part of the gable. The roof is low-pitched and covered with pantiles. A brick chimney is located at the gable end, although it has mostly been rebuilt in the 20th century. The building has two storeys, previously three, and features two windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a recessed half-glazed door set in a simple 19th-century wooden reveal. The ground floor includes a large-paned sash window, with another similar window on the right side. To the left, there is a carriage arch with a moulded wooden surround, carved brackets, and a stone arch at the rear. The first floor showcases mullioned and transomed casements with glazing bars, along with a diamond-leaded casement in the gable.
