Description
No. 28 Magdalen Street is a former building of unknown use that is now a shop. It dates from the 17th century and was refronted in the 19th century, with 19th-century outbuildings at the rear. The building is timber framed, with the street front covered in red brick and a pantile roof. It has two storeys and two bays, featuring a 20th-century shopfront and 19th-century sash windows above. The roof is double span with a dormer and a connecting dormer corridor, and there are stacks on each north gable. According to Dicke's History of Norwich School, No. 28 was originally part of a larger range that included three dormers.
