Description
No. 6 Orford Hill is a Grade II listed office building from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has five bays, with the two end bays on Orford Street projecting forward by 4 ½ inches. The shopfront includes metal 'barleysugar' mullions and semi-circular window heads adorned with decorated spandrels. There is a two-leaf, partly glazed corner door. On the first floor, there are four two-light windows with metal tracery and rubbed brick segmental arches. The second floor features sash windows with glazing bars, flanking lights, and rubbed brick flat arches. The corner windows are curved, and the building is topped with a simple box cornice.
