Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1588 on the south gable. It was altered and heightened in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and flint, topped with a roof of black glazed pantiles. Originally two storeys, it now has three. The east facade features three irregular bays, with a central panelled door that has an overlight set within a timber frame. The windows are 19th-century sashes with glazing bars, positioned below gauged skewback arches. There are two third-floor windows and one second-floor window from the 20th century, and a 20th-century door to the right of the elevation that replaced a window. The original roof line is marked by remaining kneelers. The gabled roof has a central ridge stack. The west side shows flintwork to the second floor, while the third floor is of brick. The wall has remains of blocked horizontal windows and doors. The south gable displays the date plaque of 1588 beneath a hoodmould, with blocked horizontal windows under hoods on each floor below. A two-storey gabled extension abuts the north gable wall.
