Description

St. Anne's, including the outhouse, is a house built in 1900 by Detmar Blow in the Vernacular Domestic Revival style. The structure features pebble flint and chert with brick dressings, some brick walls, and a thatched roof. It is two storeys high and consists of five bays, with a north wing that forms an L shape.

The garden front is highlighted by a ground floor that includes one four-light, one three-light, and one two-light casement window, all with brick and tile dressings. On the first floor, there are four two-light casement windows. The central entrance gable is two storeys tall and has a boarded door beneath a hipped wooden canopy supported by brackets. Above the door is a rectangular first floor window with a sundial, and the gable features a brick parapet with a central finial.

To the west, there is an off-centre external chimney breast and stack that pierces the eaves, along with brick kneelers and parapets, and an off-centre brick ridge stack. The west gable displays brick diapering. The north wing, facing the road, is constructed of flint and brick with brick returns. An outhouse made of flint and brick is located to the east, topped with a hipped thatched roof and connected to the house by a wall.
