Description

No. 50 High Street is an early 18th-century building featuring a red brick front that conceals an earlier structure. It has a steep gable-ended roof covered with black-glazed pantiles and stands two storeys tall. The façade includes three windows, which are sashes with thick glazing bars set in exposed cases. The ground floor windows are topped with flat rubbed brick arches. The central entrance is a late 19th-century panelled and glazed door, complete with a rectangular fanlight in a moulded case. A moulded brick string course runs at floor level. The building is listed as Grade II* due to its group value.
