Description
Nos 57 and 59 on High Street are 16th-century buildings that feature a stuccoed, timber-framed construction. They have a steep slate roof with gabled ends and moulded eaves, and rise to two storeys with a first-floor overhang. The ground floor has three widely spaced windows: two 3-light sashes and one wide single-light sash, all with glazing bars. No 59, located off centre to the right, has an early 19th-century pilastered doorcase with an entablature and a wide cornice, along with a panelled reveal and a panelled door. The doorway for No 57 is located at the rear. There is a yellow brick chimney stack positioned off centre at the right-hand end.
