Description

No. 55 on High Street is a building from the 16th or 17th century, featuring a timber frame that is covered in stucco. It has a black-glazed pantile roof with gable ends and overhanging eaves, and it stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are two sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a three-light sash window with glazing bars on the left side and a segmental-headed carriageway on the right. This building was likely originally part of a larger structure that included Nos. 57 and 59, which was formerly known as the Swan Inn.
