Description

Edgar House is a mid-19th century red brick house located on Edgar Road in Great Walsingham. It features a steep black-glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and overhanging eaves. A brick stringcourse runs at floor level, and the house is two storeys high. The front has three widely spaced windows with flat rubbed brick arches; the first floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, while the ground floor windows have sidelights but no glazing bars. There is a central porch supported by bulbous Tuscan columns and pilasters, which holds an entablature, a glazed and panelled door, and a rectangular fanlight. The house has brick chimney stacks that are off centre and at the end. At the rear, there are late 19th century wings.
