Description
Crabbe's Castle Farm Cottages are a pair of cottages built in 1878. They feature walls made of rendered concrete and have a roof covered with flattened pantiles. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of one bay, with recessed two-storey wings that have rear entrances. The cottages are fitted with three-light and two-light cast iron casement windows, which include glazing bars. They also have a moulded eaves cornice and central and gable end stacks that are present only on the central block. These cottages are notable for their early use of mass concrete construction.
