Description
Rose Villa is a mid-19th century house located on Bullen Lane in East Peckham. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tiled roof with two gables on the south side, which have decorated barge-boards and pendants. The main roof has a cross-ridge at the back with end gables and similarly decorated barge-boards. There are ridge stacks at the ends of the main ridges, topped with paired neo-Elizabethan chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window front. The sash windows are set in square surrounds and have Gothic arched glazing bars at the top. Heavy drip moulds are present over the first-floor windows. On the ground floor, there are canted bays on either side of the entrance. The entrance features a gabled porch with decorated barge-boards, situated in a central recess between the two main gabled wings. Additionally, there is a one-storey extension to the east, made of red brick and topped with a tiled roof.
