Description
Green Gables is a mid-19th century building located on Sandbach Road. It is constructed of red brick and has two storeys. The design features a projecting gabled bay on each side and includes three sets of three, two, and three mullioned casement windows, all with stone lintels and hood moulds. The central doorway has an arched stone head, a plain fanlight, and an attractive wooden gabled porch. The gables are adorned with ornamental pierced barge-boards, and the building has plain eaves and clustered stacks with diagonal shafts. The roof is covered with slates. At the rear, there is a coach house that shares a similar architectural character.
