Description
Woodside is a cottage, originally two cottages, dating from the late 18th century with an earlier core. It is constructed of brick and flint and features a pantile roof. The building has a lobby-entrance type plan and consists of five bays over two storeys. The first three bays have a brick plinth. There are 19th-century panel doors in the second and fourth bays. The ground floor has leaded casements set under segmental arches, while the upper floor has wooden lintels. A brick dentil eaves cornice and parapet gables add to the architectural detail. An off-centre axial stack is present, and the left gable, made of flint, has a large blocked window on the upper floor, indicating that the eaves have been raised. The gable return is also flint, which is not bonded into the brick front of the house. A lean-to structure is located on the right-hand side.
