Description

The building is a water-powered sawmill dating from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a hipped thatched roof. There is a gabled dormer on the west face that reaches almost full height and contains a sash window with glazing bars. The sawmill is equipped with two breast-shot water-wheels and a reciprocating saw-frame. At the time of the survey, the sawmill was under restoration. It is listed at Grade II* due to the significance of the saw-frame.
