Description

Ivy Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located on the north side of White Post Road in Hanworth. It is constructed of red brick and features steeply pitched pantile roofs. The building has a rectangular plan and consists of one storey with an attic, divided into three bays.

The cottage has a plinth and a central brick archway with a semi-circular head, complete with a brick keystone and imposts. There are two ground floor casements with leaded glazing set under segmental arches. Above, two gabled dormers also contain leaded casements, and the gables are parapetted and coped. A central axial stack is present, along with an attic casement in the west gable. The rear of the cottage features a catslide roof.
