Description

The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century house, now divided into flats, located on the south side of White Post Road in Hanworth. The building is constructed of brick, with some areas rendered, and features a hipped pantile roof. It has a rectangular plan and a rendered facade that consists of five bays and three storeys. The central entrance has a double door with three panels on each side, flanked by sidelights and topped with a fanlight that has radiating glazing bars. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, with the top floor windows being smaller. The eaves extend over the walls. A 20th-century glass porch has been added across the facade. To the left, there is a lower two-storey range that is of no special interest.
