Description
The Old School House is a building that was originally a school and is now used as a house. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed with flint fragments set in mortar, featuring gault brick dressings. The roofs are covered with pantiles. The building has a rectangular plan with flanking wings.
At the center, there is a two-storey gabled bay that includes a modern door from the 20th century, flanked by diamond lattice casement windows on either side. There is a similar window in the gable, with all openings featuring brick hood moulds. To the left, there is a single-storey range with two bays and oversailing eaves, which also has two similar casement windows. To the right, there is another single-storey, two-bay range that has an apsidal end with three bays, displaying similar window styles and oversailing eaves. The apse has a hipped roof, and below it, there is a tiled hood supported by brackets. The rear of the two-storey bay also has a hipped roof.
