Description

This building, known as Marjories, is a house and shop located next to the Golden Fleece Inn on the west side. It dates from 1793 and features elements from the 18th and 19th centuries, along with later modifications. The structure has two storeys and a stucco front, which includes a small central pediment. The front has two modern windows that fit into likely older openings, while the ground floor is occupied by a modern shop. The roof is covered with pantiles and has end chimney stacks. At the eastern end of the front, next to the Golden Fleece Inn, there is a ground floor carriage entrance. Above this entrance are a pair of double hung sash windows with glazing bars, and above these is a canted bay window featuring three double hung sash windows. Additional wings can be found at the rear of the building.
