Description
No 78 Staithe Street is a building from 1793, located on the east side of Staithe Street. It is likely a 17th-century structure that has been altered. The building is two stories high with an attic, constructed from brick and flint, with some parts rendered and others featuring red brick facing on the west side. The roof is made of pantiles and includes a gabled dormer with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, which now only have central glazing bars. The ground floor mainly consists of a modern shop with a central entrance and a wooden frame. This building is part of a group that includes Moyshiel Restaurant, Nos 44, 48 to 54 (even), and Nos 60 to 78 (even), along with a courtyard.
