Description
No 60 Staithe Street is a 2-storey building dating from 1793. It is constructed of stucco that is lined and painted. The first floor features three near-flush sash windows, which now have only central glazing bars. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is diagonally set eaves brick toothing. The central archway, which originally led to a passage, has been converted into a window with central glazing bars, flanked by shop windows on either side, one of which includes an entrance and a wooden fascia. This building is part of a group that includes Moyshiel Restaurant, No 44, Nos 48 to 54 (even), and Nos 60 to 78 (even), as well as a courtyard.
