Description
These are a row of cottages located at 37-41 Wodehouse Road in Old Hunstanton, dating from 1818, possibly associated with Henry Styleman of Hunstanton Hall. The cottages are constructed from coursed rubble carstone and feature a red pantiled roof. They are two stories high and have four ground floor three-light casement windows with vertical glazing bars, along with four 20th-century part-glazed doors. All ground floor openings are set under carstone relieving arches, except for the window of No. 37 on the eastern end. On the first floor, there are four two-light casements, each with a single vertical glazing bar. A datestone is positioned at the center of the eaves level. These cottages form the north range of a court of coastguard cottages and are attached by a wall to the west with Nos. 36-40 Sea Lane to the east.
