The building comprises a school and former school house, dating from circa 1850. Constructed of carstone, it features tiled and slated roofs. The design is in the Gothic Revival style. The building forms an "L" shape, with a two-story house to the south and a single-story hall school to the north. The north facade presents a gable end of the house, containing one ground-floor and one first-floor three-light wooden-framed fixed casement window. The gable features kneelers and copings. The school room is to the east, with a blank north face and a central brick chimney breast topped with an eaves stack. The east gable is coped and includes a bellcote. The south return displays a gabled wing with a five-light straight-headed casement window featuring five Gothic arched lights. A buttressed porch is situated at the angle with the house.
