Description

The Lodge is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed of buff-grey gault brick and has a smut pantiled roof. The building features three bays and is two storeys high, with a two-storey lean-to wing on the north side. There are two ground floor and three first floor wooden framed casement cross windows with glazing bars; the ground floor windows are set under flat brick arches, while the first floor windows have straight heads. The central entrance has an inserted 20th-century door. Notable architectural details include a brick dentil eaves cornice, brick coped parapet end gables with end stacks, and two-storey brick faced clunch returns. The lean-to has one ground floor casement window and one first floor two-light casement window.
