Description

Bluestone Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1798. It is constructed of gault brick and features a smut pantiled roof on the west side and a red pantiled roof on the east side. The building is two storeys high with three bays. The west front has two ground floor and three first floor sash windows, all with glazing bars, set under flat rubbed brick arches. The central entrance features a wooden doorcase with an architrave, pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment, leading to a six-panel raised and fielded door topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. There is a slightly recessed additional bay to the north, which includes one ground floor casement window and one first floor sash window, both with glazing bars and under flat rubbed brick arches. The farmhouse has a wooden eaves cornice, coped parapet gables with end stacks, and an off-centre ridge stack. The south gable displays a date stone reading "JP 1798". At the rear, there is a single storey outshut with a central two-storey gable.
