Description
26 Pilot Street is a house that was formerly a house and shop, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, with a 20th-century door set back to the left. A prominent feature is the early 19th-century shopfront, which has multiple glazing bars beneath a hood supported on consoles. Above the shopfront, there are two horned 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars in exposed boxes, along with a painted blind window to the left. The roof is gabled and includes two gabled dormers that are lit by sash windows. There is an internal gable-end stack on the south side and a ridge stack on the north side, which is shared with No. 28.
