Description
Cobblestone Cottage consists of two houses built in the late 18th century, likely incorporating an earlier core and roof. The exterior is roughcast, with rendered and colourwashed brick. No. 22 has a slate roof, while No. 24 features pantiles. The two-storey front range faces the street and originally had two doors; currently, there is one late 20th-century door to the left for No. 24 and a blocked door to the right of center. Each house has a plate-glass horned sash window with one glazing bar to the right of the doors, and there are two similar windows on the first floor. The gabled roof has vestigial kneelers on the south side and a rebuilt ridge stack marking the division between the properties. No. 22 is now accessed through a two-storey pantiled rear wing, featuring a 20th-century plank door and renewed casements.
