Description
The Old Post Office is a house and shop dated 1730, located on Churchgate Way in Terrington St. Clement. It is built of colourwashed brick and has a pantile roof. The building has two storeys. On the ground floor, there are two doors; the northern door is panelled and has a gabled hood supported by brackets, while the left side features a 20th-century door. To the right of the ground floor, there is one sash window with glazing bars, and to the left, there is a 19th-century glazed shop front. A flat brick string course runs between the two floors. The first floor has three late 18th-century sash windows, all with glazing bars. The roof is gabled and features internal gable end stacks. At the rear, there are two gabled cross wings, with the southern wing displaying a datestone from 1730.
