Description
Spar is a house and shop built around 1760, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and clunch, topped with black glazed pantiles. It stands two storeys tall and features five bays. A panelled door is located to the right of centre, set within panelled reveals, and is topped by a flat door hood supported by finely fluted pilasters. To the right of the door, there is one sash window with glazing bars, while the first floor has five sash windows, also with glazing bars. The left side of the facade is closed off by a 20th-century plate glass shop front. The roof is gabled, with an internal stack on the north gable and two additional ridge stacks on the left. There is a single-storey gabled building attached to the north, which is not included in this listing.
