Description
24 and 26 Fairland Street are two houses dating from around 1730, with No. 26 incorporating a shop. The buildings are constructed of colourwashed brick and have roofs made of black glazed pantiles. They are two storeys high and feature three wide bays.
On the left, there is an early 19th-century shop front that includes a central display window with glazing bars, flanked by two panelled doors, all beneath a continuous fascia hood. To the right of the shop front is a sash window with glazing bars, followed by a three-light casement window, both set under segmental heads. There is a 20th-century door at the extreme right.
On the first floor, there are three three-light late 18th-century casement windows. The buildings have a gabled roof with a central ridge stack. At the rear, there is a late 18th-century brick extension that is also two storeys high and features a gabled roof with a central stack.
