Description

No. 28 Market Place is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick and features a red pantiled roof. The building has one ground floor and two first floor sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath slightly cambered rubbed brick arches. The wooden doorcase has a moulded architrave and is accompanied by a six-panel raised and fielded door with its original hardware. The eaves are finished with a parapet. There are two 2-light casement dormers with glazing bars. Additionally, there are boarded cart doors under a wooden lintel on the west side, and the house has two end stacks.
