Description

Linden Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of brick and flint with some carstone galleting, topped with a slate roof. Originally, it was two separate properties. The building stands two storeys high and features five bays. The doorway is located to the right of the center, flanked by a full-sized sash window on the right and a narrow sash window on the left. There are three additional sash windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, with the window in the eastern bay being blocked. All windows have glazing bars and are set beneath gauged skewback arches. The cottage has a paired modillion eaves cornice and a gabled roof, with three ridge stacks at intervals, each having twin flues made of chevron, spiral, or diamond cut brick. The property is included for its group value.
