Description

No. 44 High Street is a house dated 1762, with alterations made around 1820. The building features plastered brick that is scored to imitate ashlar and has a pantile roof. It stands two storeys tall. The central entrance has a panelled door set within a narrow fluted timber case. There is one mid-19th century segmental sash window on either side of the door. A flat string course runs between the floors, and on the first floor, there are two flat-headed 19th century sashes. All window architraves are moulded and date from the 18th century. The building also has plaster quoining and a gabled roof with internal gault brick end stacks.
