Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to 1635 for the main range and 1807 for the cross wing. It is constructed of brick, which is mostly rendered and colorwashed, except for the south gable of the 17th-century wing. The roofs are covered with pantiles and the building has a T-shaped plan. The west wing is from the 17th century, featuring a south gable that is two storeys high with an attic. The ground and first floors have 4-light rendered ovolo brick mullioned cross casements beneath pediments, and there is a blocked 3-light mullioned attic window also under a pediment. The gable head rests on kneelers, and there is an external stepped stack on the west side with a rebuilt top. The north gable has been entirely rebuilt. There are two flush gabled cross wings extending to the east, with the southern wing dated 1807. The south front includes a door on the left and two sash windows on each of the two storeys, topped by a gabled roof with a central ridge stack. The north cross wing was altered in the 20th century. Inside, the farmhouse retains an inglenook fireplace from the 17th-century stack, along with some exposed studwork, bridging beams, and joists.
