Description

The Mill House is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of brick and flint with slate and pantile roofs. The building is rectangular in shape and features a 19th-century range to the right and left, along with later additions at the rear. The main facade has three bays and is two storeys high, with sash windows that have glazing bars and horns, all set under rubbed brick flat arches. The central entrance has a doorcase topped with a pediment and panelled reveals, leading to a six-panel door with the top two panels glazed. The house has parapet gables and internal gable end stacks, with a slate roof.

To the right, there is a two-storey wing that has two plank doors, each originally with a fanlight that is now blocked and features radiating glazing bars. There is also a semi-circular window with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two sashes with glazing bars and horns under renewed brick arches. The right-hand wall of this wing is made of flint and it has a hipped slate roof.

To the left of the main range, there is a single bay, two-storey wing with 19th-century casement windows; the ground floor window is set under a segmental arch while the upper window has a wooden lintel. This wing also has a parapet gable and a pantiled roof. The Mill House is included for its group value.
