Description

Beaupre Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century. It is constructed of brick and features slate roofs, forming a T plan. The south front has two storeys and is divided into three bays, with a set-off at the first floor. The central door is located beneath an overlight and is flanked by tripartite sash windows. There are three sash windows on the first floor, with all details dating from the late 20th century. The door and first-floor windows are topped with gauged skewback arches. The set-off at the first floor continues around the east and west returns. The west gable is stepped and has set-offs at the first floor and eaves line, which are roll moulded. There is one blocked mullioned window on each floor, situated under hoods with labels. An attic window with three lights is located below a pediment. The east gable is also stepped and features moulded brick kneelers. Internally, there is a rebuilt gable stack to the east. A cross wing, added in the later 17th century, extends to the north and is two storeys high, with a first floor set-off that has a variety of late 20th-century casement windows. This extension partially obscures an external brick stack to the north of the original range, which has moulded set-offs and triple flues on set-back plinths. The north gable of the extension has two blocked windows on the first floor and an internal gable stack.
