Description
Birdbeck is a farmhouse that features a stone plaque dated 'C.F.D. 1742', which has been reset in a rebuilt 19th-century street facade. The original building was one storey with attics and had tumbled parapet gables. It is constructed from local brown brick and gault brick, and it has a slate roof with an end stack to the south and a ridge stack. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high. On the first floor, there are three four-paned hung sash windows in segmental arches, and there are three similar windows on the ground floor. The entrance features a six-panelled 18th-century door with reeded architrave and a projecting pediment.
