Description

Abbot House is a cottage located on the south side of Stocks Green in Castle Acre. It dates from the 18th century and consists of two cottages that are now occupied as one. The north front is made of brick, while the east gable is constructed from flint, topped with a red pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and features three windows. On the ground floor, there is one sash window with glazing bars, and on the first floor, there are three two-light casement windows, also with glazing bars. The ground floor includes one six-panel door, with four upper panels glazed, which has been inserted into a former window opening. Additionally, there is a four-panel door from around 1900, with two glazed panels. The roof is hipped at the east. Abbot House is included for its group value with the adjacent Willow Cottage to the west.
